Star screen PG-405
A star screen is a device used for mechanical separation of individual fractions from a waste stream. The flow and separation of waste takes place as a result of the rotation of specially shaped stars mounted on bearing shafts. A fine (small) fraction is separated on the stars, which as an under-screen fraction falls into a container placed under the screen or onto a conveyor collecting the screened fraction. The remaining part of the waste, as an over-screen fraction, is transported towards a belt conveyor collecting this fraction and is sent to the next device of the technological line. The advantage of the device is its relatively small dimensions, which allows the sorting plant to be installed in smaller halls/areas.
