Last Friday, May 15, 2026, we had the distinct honor of celebrating a unique milestone together with our entire team of employees. On May 17, it officially marked 30 years since the story of SIGMA S.A. began – a story that proves how engineering passion, resilience, and consistent action can build a globally reaching enterprise right here in Poland.
From a Bold Vision in the 90s to Impressive Growth
The beginnings of our business date back to the 1990s – a highly turbulent and challenging period for developing brand-new businesses in Poland. We started as a small, local company from the Lublin region, counting just a dozen or so employees. Thanks to our courage in decision-making and sheer determination, we persevered through the toughest market conditions. This persistence has resulted in massive and significant growth. Today, SIGMA S.A. boasts an extensive infrastructure comprising 6 modern production and warehouse halls alongside a state-of-the-art machinery park. We possess remarkably strong engineering expertise and know-how built over decades. It is precisely this design capability and the invention of new engineering solutions for complex technical problems that constitute the primary strength and foundation of our company.
Global Reach and a Record Number of Patents
The core objective of our company has always been the continuous advancement of technology in Poland and worldwide. This is perfectly reflected in our long-standing motto: "Systematic implementation of new solutions." The ultimate proof of this mission's effectiveness lies in our impressive intellectual property portfolio. We currently hold over 100 patents and utility models, with more than 150 pending applications – and these numbers continue to grow dynamically year after year. We are proud that the machinery and equipment manufactured by us successfully operate on all continents today.
The Evolution of Technology – From Mining to Ecology
We have always been a driving force for Polish industry. We have had, and continue to have, a significant impact on the development of technology in domestic mining, the very sector our company originated from. Swiftly responding to the demands of the modern world, SIGMA S.A. now also specializes in the comprehensive design of waste processing technologies, as well as the production and implementation of advanced sorting lines. Furthermore, we operate with great success in the design, manufacture, and sale of specialized material handling equipment (short-distance transport technology).
